I just found out that Laszlo Systems now have a Non-Commercial Edition for their Laszlo Presentation Server. This is great news for non-commercial educational and research organizations. Besides that, the company also released new pricing and deployment options for the smaller compagnies in the industry. With the release of Macromedia Flex about to come out, rumours have been floating around that pricing will be an issue for small and mid-sized studio's, as Flex is targeted for the enterprise IT departments. It will be interesting to see how this market will develop itself within the next 6-12 months.I just put up my first Laszlo application, right next to this post. A nifty little application called Laszlo Blogbox, eliminated the long list of URLs, and instead shows them through a slick looking User Interface. I did some minor chances to this layout too, but i hope to have a new site soon. I have the design ready, but i still need to learn a little more about the Typepad Template system. If the layout goes wonky, try and hit refresh in your browser. If it doesn't work, feel free to leave a comment.
